State of Emergency: Ian Alleyne immortalises Eddie “One is one” Phillip

When ex-soldier Eddie Phillip surrendered to Ian Alleyne on “Crime Watch”, the videoclip went viral overnight.

Never was the expression “strength and powers” uttered with such chilling effect as when Phillip used the phrase as a (coded?) greeting for his unnamed interlocutor, moments before the police sirens prompted him to expertly disassemble his cell phone. He even tried to eat the SIM card, (it is alleged).

The real crime would be not to wonder what Eddie Phillip was really talking about in the video. The most baffling phrase, for me at least, was the one he kept repeating: “One is one.” What does that mean?

Like all good reality TV (there’s an oxymoron!), this one left me with more questions that answers.

Anyway, check it out…
